Some required courses for these majors include Introduction to Social Policy, Human Behavior and the Environment, Social Work with Ethnic and Racial Groups, and Methods of Social Work Research.
BSW majors will receive a liberal arts education that will assist them in becoming competent with core social work practices and philosophies.
The skills learnt are transferable to any job but are particularly useful in the Health and Social Care sector.
A bachelor’s of social work degree provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to prepare for a professional career as a social worker.
