I aim to provide a framework for success in future academic endeavors by building up a set of skills and strategies for dealing with novel problems. I am firmly of the belief that learning a technical subject like chemistry, physics, or math is much like learning a foreign language: listening and reading is much easier than speaking and writing.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, dancing, spending time with my large family, exploring new places, and wandering my favorite corners of San Francisco. It is all too easy to fall into the trap of believing that if you come to class and understand what the instructor is saying, you don't need to practice the material.
Since then, I've been working as a chemist, teacher, and tutor.
I'm currently working on a Masters Degree in Teaching.
My job as a tutor is to offer these well-instructed practices to my students, and to ensure that my students receive as much practice as they need before taking any examination. I'll help them truly grasp concepts and teach them the tips and tricks I have learned through the years.

The excitement a student feels when they understand what they're doing (and not just following a set of steps) is... University) and Civil Engineering (from New Mexico State University) and a Master's degree in Environmental Science & Engineering from Oregon Health & Science University.
I also promote notecards to study as it improves retention of information.
I am a very outgoing, friendly, and patient individual.
I taught have been a teacher two years prior to this: one in middle school and one in high school. ..important it is for students to create a studying routine, in order to reinforce the material they discuss every day in class.
In many cases, clarifying two or three difficult topics can be the key to success for students. I have a special passion for math and physics and I believe students only dislike it when is taught in too regimented a manner, as is often the case in schools.
